EBay Express Survey About the Most Impatient Cities
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Austin, TX
This survey was taken back sometime in the beginning of 2006.  EBay Express did a survey of the top 20 most impatient cities in the nation.  Austin, TX came in #1.  This survey was based on some really strange criteria such as # of fast food restaraunts, quick change oil services and other such conveniences.  Well, if convenience means impatience, then I suppose Austin SHOULD be ranked #1.  However, Austin is the most laidback city in the nation.  We like to take care of business so that we have time to enjoy the many cool things to do in Austin.  Being the "live music capital of the world", we have many, many venues located throughout downtown and all over the city. Austin also has 3 lakes and many city parks.  Also, one must not forget 6th Street, the Warehouse District and the many shops and malls.  Austin hosts several golf courses and frisbee golf courses.  Many of the numerous city parks have hike and bike trails.  On any day of the week, one can find something cool and fun to do in Austin, TX.  There are art museums, the Texas History Museum (which has an Imax Theatre), the LBJ Library or one could always tour the State Capitol or the Governor's Mansion.  We also have a CRAZY tour bus that drives right into Town Lake (Duck Adventures), a Capitol Metro (Austin's city bus) day tour and the Dillos (also Capitol Metro and FREE). One more thing worth mentioning...there is certainly no shortage of eating establishments. We have it all when it comes to eats...BBQ, pizza, Thai, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, good ol' home-cookin'...pretty much whatever your heart (well...stomach) desires. Austin is a city that is rich in culture and full of diversity and conveniences. Be sure to visit the Tourist Information Center (located on W.6th St.) as it has all of the details on everything there is to do and see in Austin, TX.

Mood:  chillin'
Topic: Blogthings

I found a site called Blogthings.  It has a whole bunch of stuff to put in your blog.  This blogthing tells what sort of blog you (I) should have:

Your Blog Should Be Blue
Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere.
You tend to avoid conflict - you're more likely to share than rant.
From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book.
What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?

I created a new personal site.
Mood:  bright

My daughter has had a site on Piczo for quite a while.  She doesn't care for MySpace and is not familiar with HTML.  She also doesn't want the hassle of uploading to a photo site, just to attain the HTML to put pics on a MySpace.  She is an artist and draws tons of pics!  She is able to upload directly to Piczo with no HTML involved at all.

I have recently created a Piczo site myself.  It is also a community.  Now I can communicate with my daughter on Piczo as well as alternative forms of communication.  We live about 100 miles apart, so this is just one more way we are able to communicate.

Her site on Piczo is:   Vashsgal20

My site on Piczo is:   Austin*Girl's Realm on Piczo
